Andreas Bennetzen: „8 Short Pieces“

„Diese Sammlung wurde hauptsächlich während eines kurzen Aufenthaltes im Jahr 2010 in Bogotá, Columbien, komponiert. Ich hatte die Musik zu einem Tanz geschrieben, der am Teatro Nacional in La Candelaria aufgeführt wurde, und ich war dort, um das Stück zu spielen. Der Rest der Gruppe hielt sich weiter weg auf, so dass ich abends aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht alleine ausgehen konnte. Das bedeutete eine Menge Freizeit im Hotel.

La Candelaria ist die alte Innenstadt von Bogotá mit einer coolen unbürgerlichen Stimmung. Der Ort inspirierte mich enorm und ich denke immer noch oft daran.“

"This collection was mainly composed during a short stay in Bogotá, Colombia, in 2010. I had written the music for a dance that was being performed at the Teatro Nacional in La Candelaria, and I was there to play the piece. The rest of the group was staying further away, so I couldn't go out alone in the evening for safety reasons. That meant a lot of free time at the hotel.

La Candelaria is the old city centre of Bogotá with a cool, bohemian vibe. The place inspired me enormously and I still think about it often."
