HATE – Be Not Silent, O God of Our Praise by Bro H

Heavenly Father, Ruler and Judge of heaven and earth, We who are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ through baptism And have received the gift of the Holy Spirit— Your witnesses and Your servants whom You have chosen— Come before Your presence to testify That Your laws are being violated By the rulers and children of Satan that are in Your land. [Verse 1] They promote and practice the worship of other gods, Placing them above You. They have put a mixed breed to rule over Your people. They promote and practice miscegenation among Your people, To destroy what You have created and called good. They have made themselves images as objects of worship. They take Your name in vain. They profane and pollute Your Sabbath day. They dishonor the fathers and mothers of Your little ones, Ruling over them. They make Your little ones disobedient To Your Word and their parents. [Verse 2] They kill Your people with vaccines, drugs, and poison. They commit adultery. They steal our possessions and Your land. They bear false witness against others And kill innocent people. They covet others’ wealth And steal, kill, and destroy to get it. They charge usury And withhold the pay of the laborers. They commit and promote the abominations of sodomy And take the lives of the unborn by abortion. They have put themselves in Your seat. [Chorus] Help us, O Lord our God. Save us according to Thy steadfast love. Let them know that this is Thy hand; Thou, Lord, hast done it. Let them curse, But do Thou bless. Let Thy servants be glad. [Verse 3] We ask in the name of Jesus Christ That You be not silent, O God of our praise, For the wicked and deceitful mouths are open against us, Speaking against us with lying tongues. They beset us with words of hate And attack us without cause. In return for our love, they accuse us, Even as we make prayers for them. So they reward us evil for good And hatred for our love. Appoint a wicked man against them. Let an accuser bring them to trial. When they are tried, Let them come forth guilty. Let their prayer be counted as sin. May their days be few. May another seize their goods. [Verse 4] May their children be fatherless And their wives widows. May their children wander about and beg. May they be driven out Of the ruins they inhabit. May the creditors seize all that they have. May strangers plunder the fruit of their toil. Let there be none to extend loving-kindness to them, Nor any pity to their fatherless children. May their posterity be cut off. May their names be blotted out In the second generation. May the iniquity of their fathers Be remembered before the Lord, And let not the sin of their mothers be blotted out. [Verse 5] Let them be before the Lord continually, And may their memory be cut off from the earth. For they did not remember to show kindness, But pursued the poor and needy And the brokenhearted to their death. They loved to curse; Let curses come on them. They did not like blessing; May it be far from them. They clothe themselves with cursing as their coat. May it sink into their bodies like water, Like oil into their bones. May it be like a garment Which they wrap around themselves, Like a belt which they daily gird themselves. May this be the reward of our accusers from the Lord, Of those who speak evil against our lives. [Verse 6] But Thou, Lord our God, Deal on our behalf for Thy name’s sake. Because Thy steadfast love is good, Deliver us. For we are poor and needy, And our hearts are stricken within us. We are gone like a shadow at evening. We are shaken off like a locust. Our knees are weak through fasting. Our bodies have become gaunt. We have become an object of scorn to our accusers; When they see us, they wag their heads. [Final Chorus] Help us, O Yahweh our God. Save us according to Your steadfast love. Let them know that this is Your hand; You, Lord God of Yisra’el, hast done it. Let them curse, But do You bless. Let our assailants be put to shame. May Your servants be glad. May our accusers be clothed with dishonor. May they be wrapped in their own shame as in a mantle. [Outro] With our mouths we will give thanks to the Lord. We will praise Him in the midst of the throng, For He stands at the right hand of the needy To save him from those who condemn him to death. We see them bound hand and foot And cast into the outer darkness. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
