THE ONE-GLANCE MOMENTUM GATE
Every mechanical system needs a momentum filter, and the classic rule (take the trade if ADX is above 20) is right in spirit and sloppy in execution. Raw ADX flickers at the threshold, fires on one-bar spikes, and reads strong even when the strength is against you.
CAVI (Continuation Acceleration Velocity Index) fixes the execution. It renders one continuous line with exactly two states:
* NORMAL: a plain, thin grey line. Momentum is not confirmed. Stand down.
* IGNITED: the same line, twice as thick, white-hot core, full glowing bloom. Momentum is confirmed, and the glow grows with trend strength.
Ignition only happens when four gates agree at once:
1. ADX above threshold (default 20, adjustable)
2. ADX slope rising (kills borderline threshold flicker)
3. DI directional alignment (optional: strength must have a direction)
4. N-bar confirmation hold (eliminates one-bar whipsaws)
Glowing means momentum is a confluence factor. Plain means it is not. No squinting, no interpretation, no debate.
