Carry the Yarn up the Side
In this crochet blanket pattern, I carried the yarn up the side rather than cut off the yarn ends each time I was joining a new color. However, I did not carry the yarn through the back of my work as I crochet each row.
As you change the yarn color, at the beginning of every other row, just bring the new yarn color through the last loop. Then let the color for the row you just finished drop and hang. continue repeating this process every other row.
