Purple Festival™ is a cooperative strategy board game for 2–7 players where everyone works together to prepare the world's most inspiring international music festival. Rather than competing against one another, players become one of the Seven Festival Guardians, each bringing unique talents that help the team overcome challenges, build friendships, inspire communities, and create unforgettable memories across a journey around the globe.

The game unfolds on a beautifully illustrated world map, where players travel between vibrant festival cities connected by a glowing path. Each destination offers new opportunities to collect Friendship Hearts, Inspiration Stars, and Harmony Notes, complete memorable experiences, and face unexpected events that test the team's ability to cooperate. Every decision matters, from deciding which Guardian should tackle a challenge to determining when to share resources or use a special character ability.

Each of the Seven Festival Guardians possesses a unique role that contributes to the team's success. The Visionary leads and inspires, the Composer creates harmony, the Performer energizes the crowd, the Dancer moves swiftly across the world, the Artist preserves precious memories, the Ambassador strengthens friendships across borders, and the Dreamer keeps hope alive even during difficult moments. Success depends on combining these abilities effectively rather than relying on any single player.

Throughout the adventure, players encounter Purple Moment Cards celebrating kindness and teamwork, Performance Cards featuring creative and entertaining challenges, Memory Cards representing meaningful experiences from different cultures, Surprise Event Cards offering unexpected opportunities, and Challenge Cards that simulate real obstacles such as severe weather, transportation delays, or technical difficulties. Together, these cards ensure that every game unfolds differently, encouraging creativity, communication, and strategic planning.

Time is represented by the Festival Countdown, while the Community Spirit Meter reflects the morale of the organizing team. As the countdown advances, players must carefully balance collecting resources, completing festival objectives, and maintaining community spirit. If the countdown reaches zero before preparations are complete—or if community spirit is lost—the festival cannot open. Only by working together can the Guardians illuminate the Festival Stage and celebrate a successful Purple Festival.
