Snow, skating and candlelight for the darkest months of the year: Bruegel's hunters coming home over the hill, Monet's magpie on a sunlit gate, skaters on the frozen canals of Holland, Hiroshige's night snow, Currier & Ives sleigh rides, and two warm Scandinavian Christmas evenings by Carl Larsson and Viggo Johansen.

Paintings close to the TV's shape fill the screen; the rest sit centred on a quiet matte toned from the painting itself, so nothing is stretched or awkwardly cut. Five full-screen details bring you up close to the hunters, the magpie, the skaters, the Christmas table and the candlelit tree. The set is secular and cozy, so it can stay up from the first snow to the end of February.
