This poem was inspired by Hayley Williams’ Ego Death era — the way she writes about losing yourself, returning changed, and carrying all kinds of grief. It’s about the quiet shifts inside us, the glitter that stays longer than it should, and the moments where you realise you’re not the same person you were before.

I showed this piece to Hayley when we met, and she thought it was so cool — which makes sharing it now feel even more special.
