FAQ

**Do I need any special software?**

No, in most cases. If you have a Mac, iPhone, or iPad, the free Pages app (already on your device) opens these files. If you have Windows, use Microsoft Word if you have it, or the free LibreOffice Writer if you don't — no account needed either way. If you already use Google, you can upload the files to Google Drive and they'll open as Google Docs. The Getting Started guide (file "0") walks you through all three.

**Is this a subscription?**

No. One payment, yours to keep and use for as long as you want.

**Do I have to finish it all at once?**

Not at all. Most people work through it over weeks or months, one section at a time.

**Is my information stored anywhere online?**

No. Everything you type stays on your own device, or your own Google Drive if you choose that route. Nothing is sent to us or stored on our servers.

**What if I get stuck on a specific question?**

Every question includes Anne's guidance right on the page — what it's asking, why it matters, and what other people typically write. You're never looking at a blank field with no help.

**Can I print it and fill it in by hand?**

Yes. Open any file and print it, or save it as a PDF first if you'd rather print a clean PDF version.

**How does it arrive, and what if I've never opened a zip file?**

Everything comes as one zip file, which is just a bundle holding all ten documents together. Opening it is a single step. On a Mac, iPhone, or iPad, double-click or tap it and it opens into a folder by itself. On Windows, right-click it, choose "Extract All," then click "Extract."
