Search the Scriptures: An Inductive Bible Study Journal
This method came straight out of my biblical studies program, and once I started using it, I couldn't unsee how much I'd been missing in my own time in the Word.
It's called inductive Bible study, and serious students of Scripture have used it for decades because it actually works. It's called OICA: Observation, Interpretation, Correlation, Application. Four steps, always in that order, because you can't apply what you don't understand, and you can't understand a passage you've never actually looked at closely. It sounds simple. It is simple. But it changes how you engage with the Bible for good.
This isn't a 30-day plan that tells you what to read and when. It's a framework you pick up whenever you want, for whatever passage or book you're sitting with. Working through Romans? Camped out in one verse of a Psalm for a week? Doing a study with your church group? This journal works with you, not the other way around.
Here's what you're getting:
A real introduction to the method, written like I'm actually talking to you, not lecturing you. You'll understand why each step matters before you ever pick up a pen.
20 full study units that walk you through Observation, Interpretation, Correlation, and Application every single time. The questions are specific. They're going to make you think. No fluffy "how does this make you feel" prompts here.
An Answered Prayer log because you are going to want to remember what God did.
Plenty of blank pages for the random thoughts, the rabbit trails, and everything that doesn't fit neatly into a box.
The physical stuff:
This is a full size, 8.5x11 journal. It's hefty. It's meant to be lived in, not flipped through once and shelved. Covers are laminated front and back so it holds up to actual use. Binding will vary depending on what I've got in stock when your order goes out.
If you've been wanting to go deeper in your Bible but didn't know where to start, this is it. Grab your Bible and let's get into it.
