Beatitude takes its name from the blessings that Jesus pronounces in the Sermon on the Mount, of which there are eight (as they are commonly numbered). In this piece, eight colors are used in a modified version of feather and fan, knit in the round, to create a doubled cowl for extra warmth. The beginning and end are grafted together to make a truly seamless accessory. This cowl is a great way to use mini-skein sets or leftovers from other projects, and is simple to knit with just enough variation to keep your interest.

Materials:

approximately 50 yards / 50 meters DK or light worsted weight yarn in each of 8 colors (C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, C8), for a total of 400 yards / 400 meters.

crochet hook in same size as needle for provisional cast on (optional)

Notes:

In my opinion, MadelineTosh DK Twist knits more like a worsted weight than a DK, so please consider that when substituting.

Initially, I thought I had full skeins of the Tiny Twists, but found that four were shorter, 30 yard, mini-minis. This pattern is perfect for irregularities in yarn amounts. Size of stripe sections and final circumference will vary with different amounts.
