Christmas After Dark — The Party Game

A scored, host-run holiday game night for grown-ups — five rounds of confessions, secret votes, couples' challenges, dares, and beautiful lies, set in a Detroit jazz club, Christmas 1986.

One host. One snowy night. A table full of grown-ups, a jazz record turning, and a crown waiting for the Monarch of the Mistletoe.

Christmas After Dark — The Party Game is a complete, structured party game for 4–12 adult players — not a loose card draw. A host runs the night in five scored rounds, and every round earns Snow Globe Points a different way: table votes for the most revealing confession, a secret superlatives ballot, paired couples' challenges, playful holiday dares with style bonuses, and a two-truths-and-a-lie showdown. At midnight the host tallies the score sheet, the room reads the Midnight Toast together, and the winner is crowned.

The house rule is printed in full and read aloud before Round 1: any player may pass, skip, or renegotiate any card at any time, instantly, with no explanation and no penalty. Every couples' challenge and every dare carries a gentler OR INSTEAD alternative printed right on the card — worth full points. The game is seductive, never graphic: glances, compliments, slow dances, secrets, and nerve.

Print the cards, cut them apart, pour something festive, and play tonight.

ADULTS ONLY — 18+. This is an adult party game for grown-ups.
