Wood DIY Honey Extractor, 4 frames

This set of detailed drawings and instructions allows you to build a 4 frames electric honey extractor to harvest your honey from your super frames at home (shallow or medium frames). Since it is powered with a small DC motor, you can even do it on solar and / or batteries.

This beautiful build will last a lifetime. It is respectful of the precious nectar you extract as your honey will gently glide on beeswax rather than stainless steel (check this grade 201 stainless steel article for instance. Small extractors are manufactured of cheap stainless steel and honey is acidic by nature).

If you need to just put some electrics on the manual extractor you own, this package has all the ressources to do it simply and effectively, and within a very reasonnable budget.

I also provide several alternative ways to achieve most of the tasks, so you get some solutions rather than headaches. For all items that are a bit specific (motor, bearing,...), I provide details of what you must get (and options) and where to get it. The wiring diagram is included. My recipe to make your own finish for your extractor is included too: a mix of waxes and oils that will sink deeply into the wood and make the honey glide! 

If you have a minimum of woodworking experience, this will be an easy project as it is not complicated: I take you step by step to making a wonderful piece that will be a fraction of the cost of a store bought extractor.

It is also assumed that the builder is already familiar with the safe operation of all his/her tools, their limitations, and techniques to achieve the results intended.
