Menilmontant

A double axe murder.  This is the setting of a story in Menilmontant, France, 1926.  Rewritten to stills from a silent French movie by Dimitri Kirsanoff, "Menilmontant" follows the ophaned Michelle as she grows to womanhood and moves to Paris.  There she finds Guy, the man of her dreams.  But her dream is a nightmare.  In the end, death comes again into Michelle's life ... but so does a new beginning.  36 pages of black and white stills set against patterns of colors.  Mature Readers.
