Please Relax Immediately

“Welcome. You're late for being present.”

Please Relax Immediately is a sunny musical comedy about a relaxation class that has turned doing nothing into a competitive administrative event.

The Coach has a plan for everyone’s peace. Cal intends to be the best at it. Miles had one free hour and thought he might sit down.

“I thought we were doing nothing.”

“Correct. Have you downloaded the checklist?”

There are forms to complete, notifications to obey, and a calm leaderboard that seems to be upsetting people. Every invitation to let go comes with a follow-up requirement.

Three characters, increasingly ambitious instructions, and a little tune trying to get through the session without being interrupted. Beneath the silliness is affection for everyone who has managed to turn taking care of themselves into one more thing to get right.

Somewhere in all that effort, there may still be a chair—and a minute nobody has to achieve.

One free hour.

A remarkably busy way to spend it.
