The definition of striations is a series of ridges; sets of parallel stripes. Using this definition as my inspiration, I designed this heart shaped shawl.
A main colour and a contrast colour provide a unique striated look.
Go bold with two highly contrasting colours or go subtle with two closely related variegated colours.

This shawl is knit flat.

Finished Measurements: Wingspan: approximately 72” Length: approximately 26” (cast on to point)
Yarn weight: Worsted / 10 ply (9 wpi) Gauge: 4 stitches and 10 rows = 1 inch in garter stitch Needle size: US 8 - 5.0 mm (at least a 32 inch cable circular needle) Yardage: Approximately 240-290 grams / 470-530 yards of worsted weight yarn for main color and Approximately 76-90 grams / 150-162 yards of worsted weight yarn for striping color
