We Are Labourers Together with God
The words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 3:9—“For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building”—form the heartbeat of this book. They remind us that the Christian life is not a passive walk but an active partnership with the Almighty. God, in His infinite wisdom, has chosen to accomplish His purposes on earth through human vessels who yield to Him.
This truth has gripped my heart for many years. I have seen how believers can either live beneath this high calling, struggling in their own strength, or step into the joy of working alongside the Master Builder and reaping eternal fruit. The burden of this book is to awaken the Church and every believer to this divine partnership—one that brings both privilege and responsibility.
The chapters that follow are not merely theological reflections but practical guideposts. They draw from Scripture, real-life examples, and spiritual insights to show how we can faithfully labour in the vineyard of God—whether in prayer, evangelism, service, or daily work in society. It is my desire that this book stirs your heart to action, deepens your intimacy with the Lord, and equips you to be an effective co-labourer in His harvest.
This book is written for believers at all stages—new converts eager to find their place in God’s work, mature Christians seeking renewal in service, and ministers carrying the weight of the Kingdom mandate. No matter where you are on your journey, the call is the same: labour with God, not apart from Him.
As you read, may the Spirit of God breathe life into these words and strengthen your hands for the work ahead. And when the labour is over and the harvest is gathered, may you hear those eternal words: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”
