The Keep It Close (KIC) bag is a quick and easy sew for travelers who want a hands-free way to store and protect their cards, cash, keys, phone and passport. Made with quilting cotton, the pattern is beginner level and domestic machine friendly. The KIC can even be worn under your clothing when traveling in crowded areas. The cotton fabric means you can wash the bag out when needed.

The finished bag is 4 3/4”W x 7 3/4”H. It has two front zipper pockets, the upper for cards and cash, the lower one expandable for key fobs. The slip pocket on the back can hold a large cell phone as well as a passport.
The pattern includes 10 pages of illustrated instructions, available in both Letter and A4 sizes. Two separate PDFs provide a copy of the Cutting Chart and the pieces, again in both printable sizes. An SVG is included for those with cutting machines.
Materials:
1/3 yd. of cotton or similar woven fabric or lightweight nylon
1/3 yd. of lining
1 piece of woven interfacing (such as SF101 or Wovenfuse) 5”W x 9”H
(1) ½” or ¾” D-ring and (1) ½” or ¾” Adjustable slider
(2) 7” pre-made zippers (like YKK or Coats & Clark) or 12” of #3 zipper tape and two #3 zipper pulls
