You care about sustainability.
You just don’t have time to figure it all out from scratch. You want to reduce waste at your events but....
- The systems feel unclear or inconsistent
- Every venue does things differently
- Waste data feels intimidating or messy
- You don’t want to overclaim or greenwash
- And you definitely don’t want another thing on your to-do list
So sustainability becomes something you care about… but struggle to confidently do.
That's exactly where Waste Diversion 101 comes in.
Make a real environmental impact at your events without the overwhelm
You don’t need more education, you need a simple, repeatable method that works.
After Waste Diversion 101, you’ll be able to:
- Feel confident instead of second-guessing your sustainability choices
- Reduce waste without making your job harder
- Back up your efforts with real data—not vague claims
- Speak about sustainability clearly and calmly with clients and venues
- Protect yourself from greenwashing risk
- Save time by focusing only on what actually matters
- Stay in control on-site, even when systems aren’t perfect
- Deliver events you’re genuinely proud of
This isn’t about doing everything. It’s about doing the right things.
Who This Is For?
Waste Diversion 101 is for:
- Event planners and producers
- Suppliers and vendors supporting events
- Small business owners running events or activations
- Anyone who wants to start sustainability properly—without burnout
If you’ve ever thought “I care, but I don’t know where to start” this is for you.
I’m Romina (she/her) and sometimes I forget my reusable cup
I’m still on a mission to lower my environmental impact while helping you do the same. When I first got into event management, I was shocked by how much waste the industry involved. There was a clear disconnect between events and environmental sustainability, and I wanted to do something about it.
Since starting Eco-Friendly Events in 2019 I've consulted with numerous planners, suppliers and have even spoken about this topic at various conferences. Now, I want to extend my reach and help those who are further away or have minimum budget to hire me and my team.
