Years into the future, mankind delved deep into uncharted forests and discovered beasts long thought to be myths; Unicorns, dragons, elves, and many more. They lived in colonies like human townsfolk, humans would soon learn however that some secrets are meant to stay hidden. After a long standing war of the species, society regressed drastically and many cities laid in ruin. Humans lived in villages and now partially destroyed cities, whilst a group of people known as Hunters led by the new king of humanity fought an ongoing war between the people and the beasts.

Illusion is the son of a master ranked monster hunter, and the weight of his status looms over his head. With the help of his best friends, he tries to become stronger to follow his duties.

But what happens when long kept secrets of the human race make their way into Illu's psyche? Has the age old story that bystanders have been told been a lie the entire time? Which side of this war was truly in the right, and who is the real villain pulling the strings on this age old war?

In this story we explore the ins and outs of acceptance, of understanding and loving one another, the dangers of war and that mystery hides in every corner. The world is diverse with all kinds of people, and the moment we learn to put aside our differences and reach out a hand of love is when we can truly become ethereal.

This book was written by a disabled person of color in the LGBT community living in a poverty stricken area of the south, it is an allegory for his own struggles and is meant to portray these experiences under a fantasy setting. It is used to hopefully spread a message of love to all and that we must come to understand one another at the end of the day. I hope that you read this with an open heart and mind and see that all people are, on the inside, flesh and blood.
