THE BEGINNING OF THE GOSPEL

Introduction

The Gospel of John — Chapter One is a Christ-centered study guide designed to help readers understand the powerful opening chapter of John's Gospel in a clear, simple, and meaningful way.

John chapter one takes us beyond the beginning of Jesus' earthly ministry and points us back to eternity. It reveals Jesus Christ as the Word, the Light, the Life, and the Lamb of God. John shows us that Jesus was not simply another teacher who appeared in history. He reveals Christ as the eternal Word through whom all things were made, who came into the world and dwelt among humanity.

This study guide breaks down the major truths of John chapter one into easy-to-understand sections. It explores the ministry of John the Baptist, the coming of the Light into a world of darkness, the Word becoming flesh, the testimony concerning Jesus, and the calling of the first disciples.

The purpose of this guide is not merely to provide information. It is to encourage the reader to look closely at Jesus Christ and respond to who He is.

As you move through this study, take your time. Read the Scriptures carefully. Pray for understanding. Reflect on the questions. Allow the message of John chapter one to move beyond the pages and into your daily walk with God.

The journey begins with one foundational truth:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” — John 1:1

May this study guide help you see Christ more clearly, understand His purpose more deeply, and become more committed to following Him faithfully.
