Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said that the sale of meat and liquor in Vrindavan, Govardhan, Nandgaon, Barsana, Gokul, Mahawan and Baldev in Mathura would be stopped soon. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Bans Meat, Liquor in Mathura, addressed a public meeting at Ramlila Maidan in Mathura to attend a function on the occasion of Janam Ashtami.

On this occasion, he said, "Four years ago, in 2017, at the request of the people, the municipal corporation was formed by merging the municipalities. The seven holy places were then declared shrines. Now the public wants alcohol and meat not to be sold in these holy places. So I assure you, it will happen."

He also directed the district administration to take necessary action for this. The Chief Minister said, “People who are involved in these activities should be rehabilitated by training them in other activities. Those people should be counseled in a planned manner. ”
The Chief Minister (UP CM Yogi Adityanath) said, "It would be better if small milk stalls were set up for those people." The CM Yogi assured that his aim was not to destroy anyone.
