YMKora Expiring Announcements — WordPress Pilot

Time-windowed notices for small WordPress sites. Publish an announcement once and embed it on selected pages using [ymkora_notice id="123"]. Display is checked on each uncached server render against required start/end times in your WordPress site timezone.

Included: installable GPL ZIP, original PHP source, readme and testing/support notes. Administrator-only native editor, schedule box with timezone and current status, inclusive start/exclusive end. No cron dependency. Draft/private/password-protected notices are excluded; malformed schedules keep the previous saved window.

IMPORTANT: Exclude pages containing announcements from full-page/CDN caching. Cached pages can continue showing a notice after expiry. This is NOT a client-side exact-second timer and must not enforce pricing, safety notices or legal deadlines. Changing the site timezone changes saved local times. Avoid repeated DST hours; nonexistent local hours are rejected.

Verified pilot scope: WordPress 7.1.3, PHP 8.5.11, SQLite and Twenty Twenty-Five. 31 announcement checks within a 47-check joint suite plus seven package/syntax/bootstrap/official scan checks. Browser active/expired display and administrator date save/reload verified. Official scanning is not WordPress.org approval or an independent security audit.

Limitations: no automatic site-wide placement, dismissals, targeting, click analytics, dynamic blocks or nested shortcodes. Schedule metadata is separate from content revisions. Records remain on uninstall; back up and test on staging first. No universal theme/version compatibility, multisite/load test or real-money payment test claimed.
