Lucifer has spent centuries corrupting humanity, yet every victory seems to deepen his own bitterness. When his dragon, once a cherub who followed him in rebellion, is slain by a Nephilim, Lucifer wants one thing: revenge.

When every attempt to kill him fails, Lucifer discovers another way to strike at his enemy. He kidnaps Miriam, an angel he believes Anak loves, intending to use her against him. Corrupt her. The angel he intended to corrupt becomes the one being he cannot dismiss, while hatred, defiance, and desire begin to blur into something neither of them expected.

As Lucifer's obsession with revenge collides with his growing attachment to the angel he meant only to manipulate, Anak faces dangers of his own, and the struggle carries them from Earth to Heaven and into Hell itself.
