Kassie and the Missing Candy Cane Archives

The Candy Cane Festival is six days away.

Unfortunately, its history has checked itself out of the library.

Kassie planned to spend December first decorating the North Star Inn, sampling Merry Sprinkle's peppermint brownies, and convincing Chris Krinkle that one gingerbread archway was enough.

Then Larry Frostwick discovers the heart of his festival exhibit has vanished from a locked case. Ancient recipe books, candy-cane legends, and the First Cane are gone. Worse, every candy cane in Tinsel Town is losing its red stripes, taking the town's welcome-home magic with it.

The clues lead from a children's workshop to Peppermint Heaven, a retired elf's secret craft project, and a colony of indignant peppermint pixies with a very different version of Tinsel Town history.

To restore the archives before the festival opens, Kassie will have to prove what was stolen, uncover whose story was erased, and persuade one extremely grumpy gargoyle that history can't survive if no one's allowed to touch it.

Because in Tinsel Town, the sweetest traditions don't belong behind glass.

They belong to everyone.
