Somatic mapping is a body-centered practice that involves tuning into physical sensations, emotions, and thoughts to create an internal "map" of one's bodily experiences, often visualised through drawing or marking on a body outline to identify areas of tension, ease, pain, or vitality.
This process fosters greater mind-body awareness, helping individuals connect emotional states with physical manifestations, release stored stress or trauma, and promote holistic healing by distinguishing genuine needs from habitual patterns.
