Bricks Socks
Simple, fun and casual socks for everyone. The socks are available in two length versions, classic mid-calf and shorties.
Bricks socks are worked from top-cuff-down, seamlessly in the round, with the heel flap.
Sizes
{ 1 – 60 sts, 2 – 66 sts, 3 – 72 sts }
Finished foot circumference, unstretched: { 17.6, 19.4, 21.2 } cm / { 7, 7.75, 8.5 } ” The socks were designed to be worn with about 2.5 cm / 1 “ of negative ease in width.
Yarn
Any “sock” fingering weight yarn. You’ll need about { 270, 300, 320 } m / { 290, 320, 350 } y.
Note: The yardage is estimated and depends on sock length.
Needles
2.25 mm ( US #1 ) circular needles or DPNS, or size needed to get the proper gauge.
2.0 mm ( US #0 ) circular needles or DPNS, or one size smaller than the gauge needles.
Additional Materials
stitch markers, row counter, tapestry needle for weaving ends.
Gauge
34 sts and 46 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 “ - in stockinette stitch pattern worked in the round with 2.25 mm / US #1 needles.
