Salt on the Sweet

“I had a fine objection. I lost it in a bite.”

Two slices of watermelon. A little salt.

An opinion that didn’t survive the first taste.

Salt on the Sweet is a playful love song about an ordinary afternoon becoming one you’d like to keep. There are paper plates, bare feet in the grass, and a kiss that apparently requires a second opinion.

“I said, ‘I need a second try.’

You didn’t make me wait.”

For the person who makes slowing down feel easy. For small surprises, shared slices, and discovering that something unexpected can make the good even better.

A little salt.

A little sweetness.

Nowhere else you need to be.

“I found myself right here with you,

with salt upon the sweet.”
