How can you cook for free and reduce your utility bill? It’s called the rocket stove.

Sticks are fed horizontally into a simple L-shaped combustion chamber, with air drawing in around them naturally — keeping the fire burning hot without any fussing. That heat is pushed up through a narrow insulated chimney, which concentrates it right where you need it — directly under your pot or pan at the top.
Simple physics. No moving parts. No power required.
We use ours for frying, stewing, simmering, boiling bath water, and the like. Not only does it bring down our electricity bill, but it gives us an opportunity to connect with nature, ground, and disconnect from the rush of modern life.
