*Intermediate foundation paper piecing pattern*
Run, run, run! Running is a moving meditation that helps me find peace amidst a busy life. It helps me stay physically healthy and strong but also helps improve my mood considerably (kind of like quilting!). It's a win-win! This runner block was first designed as part of my Sew Tiny Adventure quilt, when I designed a 1-1/4" square version of it to commemorate the Bridge the Gap 10-mile race in 2019. While sewing a tiny runner is a feat to match the 10-mile run, I want to make this pattern accessible to all runners and friends of runners. This version includes foundation paper piecing templates that will finish at 3" square, 6" square, and 9" square. It also includes a pattern for three sizes of the word RUN, since sometimes you just want to say something!
This is an intermediate foundation paper piecing pattern, but if you're an adventurous beginner diving in head first, just take it slowly, don't fear your seam ripper, and have fun!
Run Run Run is easily customizable to be used individually in quilts or in other small projects (mug rugs, table runner, wall hangings, pillows, tote bags, etc.).
This pattern does not contain basic paper piecing instructions, but you can find a tutorial with instructions on my blog at http://nightquilter.com/2014/06/03/tutorial-basic-foundation-paper-piecing/
I also highly recommend this tutorial by Lee Heinrich of Freshly Pieced: http://weallsew.com/how-to-make-paper-piecing-easy/
Enjoy! I can't wait to see what you create!! Please tag me @nightquilter on social media when you post photos of your #RunRunRunBlock creations.
