Three weeks before Christmas, can you say what you've already spent?

Most of us can't. Gifts get bought in a hurry, receipts disappear, and someone always gets forgotten until December 23. This spreadsheet keeps the whole season in one place: who you're buying for, what you're getting them, what it cost, and how much is left.

What's inside (one .xlsx file, 7 tabs)

- Dashboard: total budget, total spent, money left, % used, days until Christmas, days left to order online, gifts by status, people with no gift yet, people over budget, and online orders that haven't arrived. It also has a one-line status like "On budget with 819.00 left" and a planned-vs-spent chart by category.

- People: up to 40 people, each with a group (Family, Partner, Kids, Friends, Work, Teacher...) and a gift budget. You see their gift count, planned cost, spent and amount left, plus a status: No gift yet / In progress / Over budget / All given.

- Gift List: 150 rows. Pick the person from a dropdown, then add the gift, where to buy it, the estimated price and what you paid. Status goes Idea > Ordered > Bought / Made > Wrapped > Given, with a color for each. There are also "arrived?" and "hide from" columns, so no one finds their gift early.

- Gift Ideas Log: use it all year. When someone mentions something they love or need, write it down with the date. Next December you'll have a list of thoughtful ideas ready.

- Other Expenses: food and baking, decorations, cards and postage, wrapping, travel, hosting, giving.

- Setup: your year, total budget and planned amount per category. It shows whether your category plan is over or under your total.

Works with Excel (Windows and Mac), Google Sheets, Numbers and LibreOffice. No currency sign is built in, so you can use dollars, pounds, euros or any other currency. Change the year and reuse it next Christmas.
