Church of Christ Proof. Back-to-the-Beginning

This book was written out of a deep respect for the authority of Scripture and

a sincere love for the truth revealed by Jesus Christ. It is not written to attack

individuals, denominations, or institutions. It is written to examine history

and doctrine honestly, and to point hearts back to the church exactly as it

was established in the New Testament.

Many sincere people desire to serve God yet practice religion based on what

they inherited rather than what they have personally examined. This book

exists to challenge tradition with Scripture and to invite every reader to ask

the question that matters most: What did the church look like when Jesus

built it?

Christianity did not begin with councils, creeds, popes, or denominations. It

began with Christ. To understand the church as God intended, we must

return to its origin—not forward through centuries of man-made religion,

but back to the beginning.

If your desire is to follow Christ alone, to worship according to His

instructions, and to belong to the church He purchased with His blood, then

my prayer is that these pages guide you back to that beginning —where

Christ alone is Head and His Word alone is authority.
