Jellybean Shorties

What’s your favourite jelly bean colour or flavour? Make some sweet treats for your feet!

Jellybean Shorties are worked toe-up in four sizes. Bright pops of colour on the cuff are worked in simple stranded colourwork and look like little jelly beans.

The pattern is written for the magic loop method – if you haven’t tried this style of knitting in the round before, this pattern is a great introduction!

1 (2, 3, 4)

Circumference

6 (7, 8, 9)” | 15 (17.5, 20, 22.5) cm

To fit foot circumference

7 (8, 9, 10)” | 17.5 (20, 22.5, 25) cm

MATERIALS:

--Main colour: fingering weight yarn, approx. 55-85g

--Jelly beans: fingering weight yarn, approx. 2-4g in four different colours

--US #1 | 2.25 mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge

--Stitch marker and tapestry needle for weaving in ends

GAUGE | TENSION:

36 sts + 46 rounds = 4” | 10 cm on US 1 | 2.25mm needles in stockinette stitch worked in the round

Finished size can vary according to personal gauge

Techniques include knit, purl, increases and decreases, working in the round, stranded colourwork, binding off
