Thus Said the Land GROUP LICENSE

Thus Said the Land is a process-based community artwork that invites us to pause, look closely, and listen differently. Instead of centering human stories, this work asks the land itself to speak — to act as witness to everything it has held, endured, and remembered. Through simple, receptive actions, participants partner with the land to reveal these “witness statements” in forms that emerge directly from the ground.

This artowork is shared under a license. This GROUP LICENSE permits one License Holder to complete unlimited installation cycles with an unlimited number of participants.

In short the licensing rules are as follows:

WHAT’S YOURS

Anything you create during the installation cycle belongs to you. Your clay prints, objects, and contributions are yours to keep.

WHAT’S PROTECTED

The artwork concept, instructions, and materials belong to the artist. They cannot be copied, sold, or used for commercial purposes.

NO COMMERCIAL USE

Please note:

• No selling any part of the artwork (including your own creations

under the license)

• No paid workshops or ticketed events

• No commercial reuse of the project

This project is for community creativity, not profit.

IMAGE USE

By taking part, you’re happy for the artist to use photos or documentation of:

• The installation

• Your contributions

• The group’s creative process

These may appear on the artist’s website, social media, exhibitions, or promotional materials.

You can make as many double sided A3/A4 printed copies for your participants as required to host you and your group. Both map versions are supplied for home printing, and with all printers marks for professional printing. Please feel free to submit these to a professional printers for the sole use of your group participants.
