The Heart of the Story

Meet Maya, a little girl with a very big world inside her head! Just like every child, Maya’s mind is filled with a team of tiny, colorful heroes who help her through her day. They live in a place called The Control Center, where they watch everything Maya sees and help her decide how to feel.

Meet the Team

• Joy (Yellow): She loves sunshine, sprinkles, and high-fives! She wants Maya to stay happy and brave.
• Sadness (Blue): She is soft and quiet. She reminds Maya that it is okay to cry when things feel a bit too heavy.
• Anger (Red): He’s a firecracker! He shows up when things aren't fair, helping Maya stand up for herself (even if he gets a little too hot sometimes!).
• Calm (Green): The peace-keeper. With a deep breath, he helps the whole team slow down when things get noisy.
• Fear (Orange): He is a little jumpy, but he’s only trying to keep Maya safe from tall slides and spooky shadows.

The Big Adventure

Today is no ordinary day—it’s the First Day of School! The Control Center is buzzing. Fear is worried about the big school gates. Anger is upset because his favorite blue socks are in the laundry. Sadness misses home already. But with Joy’s glowing light and Calm’s steady breathing, the team learns something magical:

They don't have to take turns. They can work together!
