Soul Strong

The soul is the interface—the bridge or middleman—between the spirit (which connects to God) and the body (which interacts with the natural world).

When man was created, the soul's role was to receive input from the spirit and pass it on to the body. That was divine order.

But when Adam sinned, that order was broken. The spirit died, becoming disconnected from God, and the soul lost its spiritual compass. It no longer had a living spirit to receive from—so it became trained by the senses, ruled by external information, and shaped by the environment. The result? A soul driven by the flesh instead of the spirit. But when you accepted Jesus, your spirit was reborn, made alive to God. However, your soul didn't get saved—it has to be renewed.
