Not long after I had completed the live teaching 30 Days in the Beloved, the Holy Spirit said to me, "I have another assignment for you to teach. We're going to stay in the 23rd Psalm for this one as well. For this teaching, however, we are going to walk through it taking everyone on a journey." He said that it's all about letting the people see him differently and making the scripture come alive so that they will begin to EXPECT to encounter Him every day.

I had no idea what was in store. I thought we would take 6 weeks to walk through each verse however, that ALL changed the very first day. The Lord began to reveal his different names that are hidden in the Psalm, he also began to pull apart the cultural contexts and how it relates to us today. What IS a shepherd and what is his role in relation to the sheep and what is their role as his flock? During this journey, he began to ask us the hard questions getting to the root of our heart's beliefs when challenging us to ask ourselves, "who is really shepherding you?" This beautiful psalm that's typically used during times of comfort, became a true reflection of what is on the mind of God concerning our relationship with him. How real is it? Are we truly committed to our relationship with God or are we tip-toeing around it giving the appearance of a relationship? This course gets to the hard questions by challenging us to ask if we really have laid down our lives and hearts in total surrender to him and do we actually trust him to be who he says that he is, the Good Shepherd.
