Overview
This pattern was designed as a beginners shawl combining a simple 2 stitch 4 row textured pattern repeat with a 9 stitch 8 row lace repeat. The pattern is easy to remember and work, making it a quick knit for more experienced knitters.It is named after Derwentwater in the Lake District, England and the stitch patterns represent the ripples of the water on the lake and the peaks of the surrounding hills.
