Route 1: Canoe, Camp, and a Bird of Prey

This route covers a quiet canoe circuit just one hour from Oslo. You cross two connected forest lakes with a short but steep carry in between. The area is largely undisturbed, with old trees, sheltered coves, and no marked trails.

• A recommended viewing point for birds of prey

The route is short but offers stillness and variation: cliffs, bays, swimming locations, and open water. It’s ideal for one or two nights with kids or a quiet solo weekend.
