Moon's Project File Helper
In the video, an older version of the script is shown. Since then, it has received several important updates, improving functionality and user interface.
Older Version:
The initial version allowed users to rename the main composition and adjustment layers with minimal options for customization. It automatically:
- Renamed the active composition with a project name provided by the user.
- Organized layers into folders for compositions and other types but with limited settings.
New Version:
The updated script, "Moon Project File Helper," introduces a more versatile, user-friendly interface and enhanced features:
1. Enhanced Interface:
- Improved layout with separate panels for project options, layer settings, and file organization.
- Clear section titles and separators for a more organized, professional look.
- A centralized title, "Moon Project File Helper," with customized font styling.
2. Expanded Layer Settings:
- New checkboxes allow users to rename Adjustment, Null, Solid Layers, and Compositions selectively.
- The script now renames adjustment layers based on the first applied effect for better specificity.
3. Advanced File Organization:
- Users can now organize media files by type (extensions) and automatically move compositions to their dedicated folder.
- Media files are grouped by extension under a new "Footage" folder, making it easier to manage various asset types within the project.
4. Improved Workflow Control:
- The script checks for an active composition and verifies at least one option is selected before proceeding, helping prevent user errors.
- Additional functions for folder searches and more robust item sorting simplify the organization process significantly.
