End of Term Travel Agent Project - Cross Curricular!

Let your children (and yourself) wind down for summer with our exciting travel agent project! This exciting project will let your children’s imagination run wild as they are responsible for researching, designing, pricing and marketing their very own holiday resort! This project will allow them to practise their geography, maths, English, ICT and art skills as they cover the following very important steps:

• Researching existing hotels; noting their favourite features;
• Looking for excellent descriptive language and phrases from existing hotel websites;
• Locating a country for their resort on the world map;
• Explaining why they have chosen this country using geographical language;
• Discovering ways to travel to this country from each of the world’s different continents;
• Creating and labelling an aerial view of their hotel offering a chance to show off their amazing features;
• Designing and pricing three different room types;
• Working out the price for various families to visit their resort;
• Solving problems by working out discounts;
• Creating their own holiday brochure using their descriptive language to persuade others to visit their resort;
• Using all the above to create a PowerPoint presentation to deliver to the class;
• Evaluating the work of others to decide which resort they would most like to visit and
• Going head to head to compete to see who can complete the travel agent’s word search the quickest!
