Bach / Gounod: „Ave Maria“

Eine ausführliche Orchesterbearbeitung des bekannten Liedes von Gounod, das er über das erste Präludium von Bach schrieb. Die kleinstmögliche Besetzung ist hier 2 Violinen, Violoncello, Kontrabass und Klavier oder Harfe. Davon ausgehend kann aufgestockt werden mit einer zusätzlichen Bratsche, schließlich Holzbläser, Hörner, Pauke und Schlagzeug. Ausgeliefert wird das Stück mit folgenden Stimmen: 1 x Flöte, 1 x Oboe, 1 x B-Klarinette, 1 x Fagott, 2 x Horn 1 + 2 in F, 1 x Pauken, 1 x Schlagzeug, 8 x 1te Violine, 6 x 2te Violine, 4 x Bratsche, 2 x Cello, 1 x Kontrabass und 1 x Klavier oder Harfe.

Das originale Präludium von Bach erklingt dabei durchweg auf dem Klavier (oder Harfe), die Melodie von Gounod liegt durchgängig in der ersten Violine. Violine 2, Violoncello und Kontrabass spielen neu hinzugeschriebene Stimmen, alles Weitere sind Verdopplungen.

An extensive orchestral arrangement of the well-known song by Gounod, which he wrote over Bach's first prelude. The smallest possible instrumentation here is 2 violins, violoncello, double bass and piano or harp. This can be expanded with an additional viola, woodwinds, horns, timpani and percussion. The piece is supplied with the following parts: 1 x flute, 1 x oboe, 1 x Bb clarinet, 1 x bassoon, 2 x horn 1 + 2 in F, 1 x timpani, 1 x percussion, 8 x 1st violin, 6 x 2nd violin, 4 x viola, 2 x cello, 1 x double bass and 1 x piano or harp.

Bach's original prelude is played throughout on the piano (or harp), while Gounod's melody is played throughout on the first violin. Violin 2, violoncello and double bass play newly added parts, everything else is doubled.
