Medical Cannabis Clinician Briefs: Pain Trio for Older Adults (Chronic Pain, Neuropathic Pain, Migraine; Nationwide Edition, PDF)
Pain is where the medical cannabis evidence is deepest. The National Academies graded the evidence for chronic pain in adults "conclusive or substantial", and a 2026 Cochrane review covers chronic neuropathic pain. Pain is also where patients' expectations most often run ahead of the evidence, especially for older adults.
This bundle brings together the three pain briefs from the Top 10 pack. The migraine brief notes that the 2017 report made no migraine-specific conclusion, and it cites a 2026 randomized trial and a 2026 systematic review instead.
