Every brief has a brief behind it.

It arrives looking complete - objective, audience, mandatories, format, deadline. Sometimes a mood board. Sometimes a handwritten Post-it from someone three levels up that nobody is going to argue with. What it does not arrive with is the thing everybody in the room already knows and has decided not to say.

The constraint nobody mentioned. The assumption so old it has stopped being visible.
