Proel have made many classic budget microphones and the EKD7 is the latest in a long line of products that perform way beyond their price category.

The EKD7 has 'modern classic' styling, is very solidly built, and sounds clear and powerful.

The multi-purpose grill makes it suitable for vocal or close miking of instruments such as guitar amps and cabs. The high SPL capability also make it great for pointing at a snare drum and toms.

The capsule is housed within an elastic suspension (unusual for a mic in this price category) which minimise low frequency stage and mic stand 'rumble', as well as low frequency feedback.

Voicing is in the 'rock 'n roll' category with an emphasis on vocal clarity and presence to cut through the band.
