Budding Leaves cardi

This cardigan/shrug model is a flying-squirrel-type cardi with triangular sleeves. 

When working it you will start by producing the first sleeve plus back. Then you work the second sleeve and graft it to the back. Then you line and shape it with a wide garter collar.

It’s intended to be loose-fit + there is not much fabric at the front so the variation between sizes is smaller than usual.

Yarn:

I used indie yarn but any non-superwash DK wool yarn would work.

Notions:

Both circular needles and DPNs are necessary.

Testers rated pattern difficulty 5/10.

Suggested yarn: Knitritious Yarns Rock'n'roll Socks DK

Yarn weight: DK (11 wpi)

Gauge: 20 stitches and 24 rows = 10 cm in Stockinette

Needle size: US 6 - 4.0 mm

Yardage: 820 - 1203 yards (750 - 1100 m)
