My name might make this review look like a fake one created and put in by Alejandro himself😂. I'm not a professional music producer. I'm technically a medical student. So, you might judge me on my taste. But here's my honest take. Ableton Live would've been the DAW of my choice if it weren't for Alejandro to make this theme and revolutionize how Reaper looks and feels, apart from giving tips and scripts to use in Reaper. Being a medical student producing music just because I love to, wouldn't let me buy a DAW of my own especially at a stage where I can't even say that I'm at least a decent singer. So, I had to find free DAWs to work with. I tried many free DAWs; I even tried playing around with the trial versions of FL Studio and Ableton Live. Didn't try Cubase, Logic Pro, Pro Tools and Studio One so I won't comment on their usability though I've seen people using them, so I'd say I didn't like the way they looked. Now that you know how experienced I'm with DAWs; 😂 you can trust my words right?
Anyways, here's my view, I wouldn't hate Reaper for any other Daw looking and functioning better. Of course, Ableton Live is the one I'd choose if someone is just giving away favorite DAWs to people but since I have to stick with something that I can afford, I'd say it out loud and bold - NOTHING BEATS REAPER (NOW!)
Nobody these days have the patience to read long comments like this but if you did reach here - you won't like Reaper without Reapertips Theme so just grab the theme, learn how to customize the DAW to your liking and get rocking!
