Choro n.1

Popularly called chorinho, is a genre of instrumental music that emerged in Rio de Janeiro in the mid-19th century. Choro can be considered the first typically Brazilian urban music and, over the years, it has become one of the most prestigious genres of national popular music, recognized for its delicate work, full of excellence and refinement. The instrumental composition of the first choro groups was based on the flute, guitar and cavaquinho. As the genre developed, other string, wind and percussion instruments were incorporated such as clarinet, seven-string guitar, banjo or mandolin, tambourine and a variety of percussion.

Choro n.1 is one of my first compositions, it's a very simple, light and fun music to play. The sheet music has the chords and you can play with or without accompaniment. Enjoy!
