The hard part of an application is not writing it — it is knowing what you have done, because your own experience is invisible to you. Ninety minutes of being questioned produces an inventory with verbs, scale, what changed and what went wrong, and about a third of it is usually material you would never have thought to mention. Then a base CV you never send, job adverts taken apart into must-have, would-like and boilerplate, tailoring that cuts and reorders but never adds, and a tracker that finds the stage you are actually losing at — which is almost never the one people have been fixing.
