This book is about nvim but enbraches all ?vi? iterations and reading it is an enriching experience.

Very informative and fun to read

I wanted to try LazyVim instead of VS Code and was looking for some help. I had some very, very basic knowledge about vim before but felt I needed a proper introduction again. First I tried the video but I figured that I'm not really good at visual learning so I checked out the free online version of the book. I've already worked through chapters 1 through 7 and loved it. It's most of the time an easy and always a fun read and it really explains everything important. So I decided to buy the ebook version as it's absolutely worth it.

Worthwhile, about to re-read and make notes

Well-written, complete coverage. Occasionally discursive; could be more concise. But I came across many commands that were new to me or that I'd forgotten because I'd never cemented them in memory through use.

For the ambitious vim newbie

If you're relatively new to vim and find vim's settings and it's plugin names confusing, this book is a perfect match for you!

The author explains in "details" lazyvim's shortcuts, settings and default and the authors recommended plug-ins.

I was no absolute beginner for vim, but this book definitely help me memorize and learn new shortcuts. That is why I could raise my working pace a lot.

So support this guy and buy a copy yourself. 😁

Have tried Neovim distributions before but could never make sense of how to use and configure the plugins, this is the missing manual, very well written with engaging and humorous style, will save you days of trying to to setup Neovim with modern ide features, Definitely worth having the book version for a searchable reference.

Finally using neovim!

It's taken a few years, and many mistakes - but this book finally got me using neovim!

Key differentiator: having easy instructions for resetting to blank slate and starting over with your config! The amount of times in the past i'd make a mistake in my configuration, and have no idea how to undo it and no confidence that i could do so without destroying everything.
