Vim has been the editor of choice for power-developers for decades, but it's always had an ethos of being hard to learn and harder to configure.

No More!

The LazyVim distribution has crafted a delightful and powerful out-of-the-box experience that is on par with any modern IDE. Configuration is either unnecessary or simple.

That takes care of the "configuration" problem, but in order to use LazyVim effectively, you must first know how to use LazyVim.

This book was written for developers who want to ramp up on modal editing with Neovim. It is approachable and digestible, but most of all, it is comprehensive. It collects tips and tricks gained from over two decades of using Vim, and is written with the gentle humour Dusty Phillips brings to all his work.

You really need this!

If LazyVim is your everyday tool (and it should be), you’re crazy not to spend a few bucks for an expert to lead the way!

Excellent

LazyVim is awesome and this is the missing guide. I learned all kinds of things, including much about Neovim itself. Well worth the read.

Makes getting proficient with neovim a breeze

This book is very well written and is a great way to discover (neo)vi(m). I'm at chapter 9 and can't wait to get through the rest of the book.

Top

Very informative but also pragmatic. With personal insights and real live examples and hacks.
I really enjoy reading and learning vim/lazyvim with this book. I have the feeling everything is valueable and hands on. I also enjoy the little historic insights and stories around VIM and its predecessors.

Very well written book

For someone who wants to get into the world of NeoVim and its plug-ins, the entry point is confusing and there is too much to figure out and understand. This books gives a clear picture of neovim and its plug-ins ecosystem and prepares someone to be comfortable in using and tweaking the setting. Highly recommended.

You see, it's all very clear to me now. The whole thing. It's wonderful.

Well written, clear prose, Dusty obviously proofreads his work--that's important to me. I learned a lot I didn't know about Neovim and working smarter with Git.

Chapter 19 Comprehensive Guide to Plugin Configuration finally helped me understand all the cascading behavior. It may be described elsewhere (probably in Folke's Lazy documentation) but this was the missing piece for me. I decided to buy the book based on this chapter alone.

Genial

El libro está genial. Me hubiera gustado tenerlo en formato .md para poder traducirlo de una manera más sencilla sin perder el formato.

Resurrecting *vim

This book is about nvim but enbraches all ?vi? iterations and reading it is an enriching experience.
I totally suggest to grab this book and spend time to absorb hidden tresures it contains.

Exactly what I needed

I really liked how this book talks about (1) vim/neovim and (2) Lazyvim.
(1) After (many) years using vim I still learned new things
(2) Here I learned many things that other authors seem to see as "obvious" but which are not.
