I haven’t finished it yet, but I’m impressed with the authors writing style. If you like the more conversational tone of the No starch press books, but with a bit more humor, you’ll love this

This is the best vim/nvim/lazyVim guide I've ever found. I always wanted to be cool vim-guy, flexing on my coworkers using... well the same stuff I do. But the docs and opinionated forum posts made the subject really overwhelming. Now I have my shot at flexing at VS Code users (like me)

Haven't read it all yet but it's already paying dividends. I'm determined to replace my IDE with lazyvim and this book is helping a lot.

This book is very helpful. I already had some experience with vim which is why I could appreciate this book very much because the author explains things in a way that is very clear and clarifies many points.

An excellent guide to LazyVim that provides practical examples while expertly balancing LazyVim-specific features, Neovim configurations, and general Vim functionality.

This book completely changed how I work with LazyVim and my productivity sky rocketed.

I have only read a few parts of the book, but every part has been super clear and helpful. I love the additional suggestions and opinions like mini.files. I thought I was fine using explorer. I got used to it, but mini.files for the win. While I've done a lot of customization to LazyVim, I hadn't chosen to investigate mini.files. What a great mini nugget! Obviously, purchasing the book is the best way to say thanks for your time. I look forward to reading everything.

After several years of using Vim motions in other IDEs, seeing a glimpse of LazyVim was enough to make me take the plunge into a full Neovim experience. I'm three months in and still feel genuine joy and excitement to open up nvim/LazyVim.

I really don't think I would be where I am without this book. I've long known about Neovim and was aware of a few programming youtubers who evangelised it, but I was always put off by the complexity of its configuration. LazyVim makes this a whole lot easier (mostly by giving you what you probably wanted out of the box), but it's still a highly configurable system with a steep learning curve. LazyVim looked cool, but I don't think I would have considered it seriously or stayed with it for long, if I hadn't found a comprehensive, well written resource in this book. I'm sure all the information I needed could have been found somewhere, but having it all in one place, without ads or up-sells or SEO garbage, was invaluable. Even then, most articles would have been specific "how to" guides which might give you the narrow answer you're looking for without helping you understand the system from a foundational level. But that's exactly what you get with this book: a building up of concepts that enable you to actually understand how LazyVim and Neovim work, rather than just answering common questions. Having said that, it's not overly theoretical or attempting to cover every corner of Neovim (of which there are heaps, and many are quite unnecessary to the new user).

I still reference it all the time, and recommend it to everyone I try converting to LazyVim! Thank you Dusty!

Modern and practical, with all of the code examples and so on. I believe it providdes you a solid base and definitely recommend it to anyone who's switching to lazyvim without a lot of prior vim experience.

Makes LazyVim and the underlying Neovim approachable in a clear way that's easy to follow and a pleasure to work with.

A very useful guide that includes details that other sources just assume that you'll already know, such as how the plugin system works etc. Definitely recommend for someone wanting to learn LazyVim/Neovim.

This was a great resource for getting started and learning Lazyvim. As someone who was new to vim it has been invaluable resource and made my transition more smooth. I think it's the most comprehensive resource for lazyvim. It covers all topics from beginner to advanced. I love that it was available in ebook/kindle format, which is my preferred medium.

From my point of view, the book is a perfect fit for anyone starting with Neovim. It explains the basics and teaches effective ways to navigate Neovim.
