Steven and the Sensei (Part of a Series)
Overview
A sequel to the book Worth Avenue as well as Tom & Serafina. Steven and The Sensei
is book #1 of its own series and is a story about the character, Steven Jefferson Hoola.
He is the youngest of nearly identical boy triplets, a son of Tom Hoola and his now
deceased former wife Serafina. Following the death of his mother Serafina, he and his
brothers relocate from Estonia to Palm Beach, Florida where they are raised in the
palatial home of billionaire Tom and his new wife Greta. He has just turned twelve years
old and is venturing off the path of good, resulting in him being sent to Hong Kong,
China for back to back summers of immersion in the lessons of solitude and patience,
tenants of the Karate and Jiu-Jitsu he is an expert in. The only way he agrees to go is if
he can bring his brother’s prized $100,000 sword. The sensei himself is also on a path
of discovery as he is the future head of a Buddhist sect which is endangered due to
pending reforms which greatly restrict his capability to earn money from training
non-Buddhists. Fast paced and filled with action, this book is a real page turner!
